We have set the following rules primarily with your safety in mind.
BEFORE YOUR STAY
Basic conditions of stay
1. I am an adult with full legal capacity, nothing prevents me from staying in the windowless dark-retreat CABIN, and I have chosen the dark retreat voluntarily and of my own free will.
2. All information I have provided is truthful.
3. I do not have a mental-health condition such as severe claustrophobia, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or another condition that would prevent me from safely undertaking a dark retreat.
If I have previously had such a condition, I will provide confirmation from my treating physician that I may undertake a dark retreat.
4. I do not have an illness and I am not taking medication that would prevent me from safely undertaking a dark retreat.
5. I have read the information on www.tma-semily.cz and I am familiar with the details of the dark retreat through the website and/or a personal conversation.
6. I understand that the retreat takes place in complete darkness. I decide when the dark period begins by turning off the light, and I may turn the light back on or leave the garden cabin at any time.
7. I undertake to end the dark retreat immediately if mental, psychological or physical problems arise, or if there is any other reason to end the stay.
8. I am not under the influence of intoxicating or psychotropic substances and undertake not to use them before the retreat, during the stay or immediately afterwards.
9. I understand that ending the retreat early does not entitle me to a full or partial refund.
10. I accept responsibility for my own actions and for my voluntary stay in the dark-retreat cabin. The original Czech terms state that claims for compensation against the guide may not be made for damage to personal belongings or for physical or psychological consequences arising from the voluntary retreat.
11. I understand that my retreat dates are confirmed only after the deposit has been paid.
SAFETY & OPERATION
When the retreat may be terminated
The entire cabin is non-smoking. If this rule is broken, the operator reserves the right to terminate the retreat without a refund. This rule protects both your safety and the cabin itself.
The operator also reserves the right to terminate the retreat if alcohol or any intoxicating substance is used.
